David, I like your comment. A few of us are having a conversation about being different vs being relevant . . . we don't need to approach being different from the world in a defiant, separatist sort of way. Rather, in the pursuit of Christ we become ever further removed from who we were before we knew Him. As we are transformed by time spent in His presence and submitting to the Spirit, our difference will become apparent without our having to force it.

On topic again, with the above phrase in mind...

We cannot be different just to be different. As there is nothing new under the sun, we must go higher, to God. Otherwise we're just rehashing what's already here. A new approach won't do it, we need God. He is the one who sets us apart, it is in him that we become foreigners on this earth with a heavenly home. It is because of this reality in the hearts of the mystics that they were highly sought after, no matter how hard they tried to separate themselves.

Heaven is attractive.

Here's a page on backing up wordpress:

http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups#Backing_Up_Your_WordPress_Site

Here's a little simpler one:
http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2005/09/20/backing-up-wordpress/

It's a bit technical so you might need JHawk. It might be different depending on which version of wordpress you have.

Another way to backup just the content is to import it into some other site that has an RSS reader. I have mine imported through facebook. Not sure if you've partaken from the "great and terrible" facebook... it's handy yet also time consuming and addicting.

On topic, I love this phrase: “The glory of the gospel is that when the Church is absolutely different from the world, she invariably attracts it."

And Dave's blog still seems a little off to me. The "what I'm called to do" tab is invisible and under the home and about tabs, among other things... But maybe the problems are on my end?

For the techies out there, David's blog was hacked through an exploit in an old version of wordpress he had installed. No big deal, doesn't look like any harm was done, all of the content appears to be restored from the backup, and wordpress is now upgraded to the latest version :)

A hacker? Any chance you'd share more details on that? Also, do you have any of this backed up somewhere? Because if I had a sweet blog like this, I would back it up. If you need any help tracking down this hacker, or punishing him/her, let me know.

I'm currently re-designing my blog to make it more like yours. Just kidding, at least on the "more like yours" part. I was just so sick of the built-in layouts, and since I have some l33t skillz, I figured it's time to do it myself. It might take me a couple weeks to do it... but it's going to be awesome!

That way, when I look at it (because nobody else does), at least I am impressed.
