But First, Cuteness….
December 23rd, 2006
First up, Daniel. Since I’m biased, I won’t even comment.
So am I the 3,005,456th person to post cute kid pictures on a blog? Should I be sent to the blog penalty box? Is this too cliche?
I’m sure most of you won’t mind.

Hello!!! Good to hear from you and have a chance to see your beautiful children… I’ve tried reading much of your blogdom… the words vibrate and it’s hard on my old eyes… but very interesting. We’re in a whole new season. For the last two years Bill’s illness has become quite difficult. He’s only able to walk 10 to 20 seconds before he begins to pass out. It’s Autonomic Neuropothy with severy Orthostatic Hypotension.
We have a perscription for a wheel chair.
I’m not ministering out at all right now. (I sorta miss it) but it’s clear I am meant to stay home.
I transformed our garage into a delightful gift shop filled with tons of stuff I’ve made plus buy-sell giftwares. Two days a week Mimmy’s Pickety Place is open. It’s really wonderful fun and helps to divert all the saddness that surrounds Bill’s illness. We’re doing fine - really - but if you guys would pray… thank you.
The Stevens clan has grown to a delightful five grandkids. They are our primary source of fun.
Blessings to you all - what an adventrue!
Love Mimmy STevens

God bless Wikipedia! For any intercessors who might stumble accross this and want to pray for healing, Bill Stevens has an issue with the non-voluntary (or, the part with “autonomy”) non-sensory part of the nervous system that mostly affects the internal organs; pair this with a sudden plummeting of the blood pressure when standing - wow. I didn’t know about this - I will for sure be praying for you guys.
Thanks so much for touching base and giving me the scoop. The Sliker Family will be standing with you guys tonight while we’re in the prayer room together (and onward until the Lord breaks in with healing). Please keep me posted! We love you guys so much.

For those of you who wouldn’t know this, Bill and Marji were a second family to me for years growing up (5th grade through high school & Bible school, or about age 9 - 21). Their son, Jon, was the best man at my wedding in 1997.
It was the Stevens’ family that played a major part in me getting saved during the summer of 1986, when Jon, Dave McGinnis, and I went to an Elim summer camp and I met Jesus. (I have many, many stories from these years - some of you have heard a few) The Stevens family were the key Christian family in our neighborhood, and talked to me about the Lord whenever I wanted. They are a precious family.
Hopefully, they won’t disclose the way my little crazy mind worked (and the bizarre questions I asked) back then - but I love this family a ton. We’ll be praying for them.

I have five nephews, and though I would never try and argue who is more adorable with you; Daniel had my heart from the first moment I held him..
I love reading your blogs because they sound just like you and then I can pretend that I am like sitting in your living room watching your kids do cute things while you make me laugh my head off.. eh?
Merry Christmas Slick.

They’re coming! Here’s the plan:
1. Survive the Onething Conference.
2. Work on Website.
