“The ironic part is when Chas Freeman chose to resign. [Tuesday], the day he withdrew was Purim,  a Jewish Holiday where we celebrate a victory over a anti-Semite named Haman.  Haman complained that the Jews had no respect, that they had dual loyalty and in the end he was defeated. Haman was defeated over 2,500 years ago, Haman was also defeated yesterday.”

Dave! After several months of silence you’re back.

Are you suggesting that Freeman’s resignation was how Haman was defeated yesterday?

    Cheers.

Nope, just found the quote online and thought that the coincidental nature of Freeman’s resignation on the day of Purim was interesting. It made me raise my eyebrow, and thought I would invite others to raise their eyebrows as well.

Plus, I wanted to post something to change the look and feel of my “leadoff” post, moving away from the seemingly eternal reference to the IHOP goth scene.

    I’m back-”ish”.

    Great to hear!

You know I am suspicious of everything you write, but I find that I can’t resist your blog.

    Nice to have you back-ish.

Ha! That’s funny. I’m also suspicious of everything I write.
